Cemetery Board Members
The terms of our Cemetery Board Members, who have done an excellent job maintaining the Cemetery and serving the Village, will be expiring this year and next year. They have informed the Village that they would like to retire from the Board. The Village is asking any resident who would be interested in a position on the Board (need 3), to please contact Mayor Schmitz at 986-8288 for information.

The Village of South Amherst, through its Cemetery Board, administers and maintains two cemeteries within the Village. The current Cemetery Board members are Bob Lipscomb and Sarge Eberhardt.

Pioneer Cemetery is located on South Lake Street and is the resting place of many of our early settlers.

Evergreen Cemetery is located on West Main Street (Route 113) next to The United Methodist Church. Evergreen has a Memorial Garden which was added recently. For information regarding lot sales or other questions, please contact the Cemetery Board Clerk at 440-320-6856.

Evergreen Cemetery hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During Daylight Savings Time, the evening hour is extended until 8:00 p.m.

Cemetery Rates are as follows:

Resident Lot:	$400.00
Non-Resident Lot:	$700.00
Open/Close:	$750.00
Cremation Burial:	$275.00
Military Footer:	$125.00
All other Footers:	$100.00 + $4.00 per running inch up to and including 20 inches in width. All others at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.

Memorial Garden Information

Bricks, tables and benches may be purchased for placement in the Memorial Garden. Prices are as follows:

Bricks: 4" X 8" are $75.00 each, which includes a 3-line inscription

8" X 8" are $150.00 each, which includes a 6-line inscription

Table: $1,500.00

Bench: $5,500.00
