The Village’s Park Committee has been working for several years to develop a park on 18+ acres in the Village. The Park is located on West Main Street. The entrance is on the south side of the street marked by a sign reading “SOUTH AMHERST COMMUNITY PARK”. There is parking, a picnic pavilion, playground, and walking trails.
Palmer Path, a walking trail from the corner of Church and Eberhardt Streets, connects the neighbors to the Park.
A playground area is available for youngsters. Swings, slide, and monkey bars have been installed.
The Pavilion is a great place for picnics.
Park Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during standard time and 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. during daylight savings time.
No motorized vehicles are allowed beyond the parking area.
No dumping in the Park.
No grills are allowed on the picnic tables.
Dogs are allowed, but waste must be picked up. There are dog stations available.
