Republic Services Billing and Cart Updates 

The updated pricing in the newsletter was designed to standardize rates across the village, regardless of cart size, type, or service. The new rate includes: 

  • A 96-gallon trash cart 
  • A 64-gallon recycling cart 
  • Weekly bulk pickup of up to two items, including yard waste 

However, some residents may have a smaller trash cart or may not have a recycling cart. In these cases, the new rate will still apply to your current setup, and no change is required. 

To ensure that those who want the appropriate carts receive them, we need to gather information from residents who have a smaller trash cart or do not have a recycling cart. If you would like to receive the standard-size carts, please provide your name, address, and phone number. While switching is optional, your rate will remain the same whether or not you upgrade. 

Once we compile this list, Republic Services will evaluate whether they can waive the upgrade fee and deliver the correct carts. While their representative is advocating for a one-time fee waiver, this will depend on the total number of requests. 

Republic Services is actively working on implementing the new pricing, but their customer service team may not yet have all the details. They appreciate your patience as they finalize these changes. Adjustments should be reflected in the next billing cycle. 

If you would like to request a recycling cart or an upgrade to a larger trash cart, please leave a message at (440)986-2222 ext. 5 or email [email protected]  The deadline to submit requests is March 7, 2025. Requests received after this date will not be eligible for a waived delivery fee.
