Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Professional Engineering Services for the Village of South Amherst, Ohio

The Village of South Amherst, Ohio is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified professional engineering firms to provide engineering services for water distribution/treatment, sanitary sewer collection, stormwater conveyance and detention, public roads and sidewalks, cemetery planning and improvements, municipal development/redevelopment review, related infrastructure and on-call services.

 This procurement is being conducted in accordance with Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 153.65–153.71, which requires public entities to select firms based on demonstrated competence and qualifications for professional design services.

Scope of Services

The selected firm may be asked to provide services including, but not limited to:

• Preliminary engineering evaluation and studies
• Design development and construction documents
• Bidding assistance
• Construction administration and inspection
• Coordination with state and federal agencies
• Other engineering services as needed for Village projects

Submission Requirements

Interested firms should submit three (3) hard copies and one (1) digital copy (PDF) of their Statement of Qualifications. Submittals must include:

1. Firm background and areas of expertise
2. Experience with similar municipal or public‑sector projects
3. Resumes of key personnel
4. Description of the firm’s capacity to perform work
5. References from recent relevant projects
6. Any additional information demonstrating qualifications
